Abstract

After deciding to sell baskets of agro-ecological products together, the family producers of Tupã, Brazil faced a complex problem. Because the products of the mix of each of them could be repeated, what would be a practical way of distributing stocks, in a balanced way and according to customers' requests, in order to minimize differences in billing? In order to solve this problem, the objective established was to create a solution based on the use of spreadsheet, which would be able to perform the balanced distribution of product mixes between different suppliers, in the simplest possible way, in order to adapt to the needs of producers, their skills and technological resources. In order to do so, we used the Data Life Cycle Analysis Model for the Information Science and the mathematical model of transport, originated in the Operational Research, which enabled the creation of a spreadsheet, in which it is possible to register producers inventories, customer requests, and whose main functions are the automatic distribution of the mixes in a balanced way, with the push of a button, and the generation of managerial reports.
