The WIDaT - Workshop of Information, Data and Technology aim to create a forum for researchers and people who are involved with the issue of access and use of data, from areas such as Information Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Administration, among others. The WiDAT is opening space for the participation of representatives of the private sector and government, thus enabling the realization of a broad dialogue that makes it possible to operationalize a Brazilian Network for Data Access Research.

The II Workshop of Information, Data and Technology (WIDaT 2018) is a successful event in the first edition of the event under the Postgraduate Program in Information Science (PPGCIN) Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) in the year 2017 Following the spirit of WIDaT 2017. This year, the II WIDaT - Workshop of Information, Data and Technology aim to create a forum for researchers and people who are involved with the issue of access and use of data, from areas such as Information Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics and Administration, among others. The WiDAT is opening space for the participation of representatives of the private sector and government, thus enabling the realization of a broad dialogue that makes it possible to operationalize a Brazilian Network for Data Access Research.
