Abstract

This is an exploratory paper that aims to inventory, through the literature, the services to support for research data management in libraries. It also intends to propose a categorization and classification of services according to the proposed categories. The identification of the articles that compose the corpus of this research was carried out through searches in databases, Google Scholar and references cited. The articles were read, coded and categorized with the aid of the NVivo software, and the categories were created based on the literature review. Five categories of services were obtained in the 58 analyzed articles: Infrastructure, Technical, Support, Educational and Others. The most present services in the articles are those of the Educational and Support categories representing an extension of services already performed by libraries. It is concluded that the proposed classification requires a reanalysis and regrouping of services, since it is probable, that from the literature and from a better understanding of the area a new hierarchy will emerge or that categories will be unified or remanaged.

Keywords: Research data. Research data management. Libraries. Services.
