Abstract
The present work aims to think the informational function of the city signs. We believe, a priori, to be a strategy of existence for the internet, meeting the needs and values contained in the information of digital social networks. In this way, we start from the assumption that the Instagram modified the social environments by the forms and streams of sharing of the photographic practices, making things become unstable, especially in the universe of photographic travelers. In order to meet this informational regime, tourist signs are proliferating in the cities. In the specific case of the sign of the city of João Pessoa, which we approached, a data analysis was carried out to ascertain the number of posts and accesses based on the #euamojampa hastag to, together with our theoretical reflections, to verify the informational function of the signs of city in times of life online.
