Theme: Data Access Technologies for Small Rural Management

This year, the V e-CoDAF - V Meeting Digital Skills for Family Farming presents the theme Data Access Technologies for Small Rural Management. V e-CoDAf is promoted by the CoDAF - Digital Skills for Family Farming Project and focuses on presenting proposals for the development and use of Information and Communication Technologies by the rural sector, especially for small producers. In this edition, it will count on the collaboration of three higher education institutions (UNESP/Tupã, FATEC/Presidente Prudente, UFPA/Belém and Tucuruí), which increases its visibility and results reach.

Abstract (Portuguese)

A procura por produtos orgânicos têm ganhado mais espaço nos mercados e feiras por consumidores. No entanto, produtores podem ter dificuldades em encontrar insumos apropriados e informações para esse tipo de produção. Observa-se que a falta de informação adequada pode implicar em dificuldades nas atividades vinculadas a essa produção, situação que pode ser otimizada com o uso das Tecnologias da Informação e Comunicação, principalmente com o uso de dispositivos móveis. O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar o protótipo de um aplicativo, de natureza informativa, que disponibiliza para o produtor rural, informações relacionadas a substituição de agrotóxicos pelas alternativas orgânicas. Esta pesquisa é de natureza exploratória mediante pesquisa bibliográfica, que permitiu delinear o propósito e conteúdo do aplicativo móvel. Obteve-se como resultado o protótipo de um aplicativo informativo no contexto da produção orgânica. Prover um ambiente digital que disponibiliza informações agrupadas sobre orgânicos pode facilitar o acesso à informação para os produtores e contribuir para otimizar o ciclo de produção no meio rural

Abstract

The demand for organic products has gained more space in markets and fairs by consumers. However, producers may have difficulty finding appropriate inputs and information for this type of production. It is observed that the lack of adequate information can imply in difficulties in the activities related to this production, a situation that can be optimized with the use of Information and Communication Technologies, mainly with the use of mobile devices. The objective of this work is to present the prototype of an application, of an informative nature, that makes available to the rural producer information related to the substitution of pesticides by organic alternatives. This research is exploratory in nature through bibliographic research, which allowed the delineation of the purpose and content of the mobile application. As a result, the prototype of an informative application in the context of organic production was obtained. Providing a digital environment that provides aggregated information on organic can facilitate access to information for producers and contribute to optimizing the production cycle in rural areas.
