He worked in the private sector as a consultant, integrator and researcher of new information technologies from 1988 to 2004.

Olá participantes do WIDAT 2018. Eu vou apresentar agora o artigo intitulado “O ensino da E-Science no âmbito dos Programas Brasileiros de Pós-Graduação em Ciência da Informação”, realizado por mim Renata Lemos, atualmente mestranda do Programa de Pós-graduação em Ciência da Informação da Universidade Federal da Paraíba e Débora Gomes de Araújo, doutoranda também do mesmo programa.

Inicialmente nós sabemos que o constante avanço das tecnologias digitais de informação e comunicação vêm provocando mudanças no modo de pensar e fazer a ciência, causando alterações de paradigmas seguidos em todo o domínio do fazer científico.

Esses momentos de ruptura foram tidos como paradigma da ciência configurando-se também como a evolução da mesma, ou seja, uma mudança de paradigma não é uma ameaça à ciência mas sim a própria maneira pela qual ela progride.

Então inicialmente a mil anos atrás nós tínhamos a ciência experimental, onde a ciência acontecida de forma exclusivamente experimental e empírica por meio da observação e descrição das leis naturais. Posteriormente por volta do século 17 nós tivemos a ciência teórica onde a ciência passa a basear-se em modelos teóricos como por exemplo as Leis de Newton, Equações de Maxwell, assumindo no ramo mais teórico. Depois essas teorias é causavam enormes equações matemáticas fazendo necessário o uso de computadores, que é quando a gente passa para a ciência computacional na segunda metade do século 20 onde aqueles modelos teóricos tornaram-se resoluções complicadas dando início a simulações e uso de recursos computacionais, todos esses recursos computacionais, todo esse uso intensivo do computador foram gerando cada vez mais dados que é a ciência atual quarto paradigma científico que é o e-science, ou seja, que segue os paradigmas de investigação anteriores esta nova área tem sido chamada de um quarto paradigma, descoberta científica do uso intensivo dos dados.

Então dessa forma a ciência da informação está diretamente associada ao quarto paradigma científico, com a informação é nada mais do que um dado dotado de sentido capazes de lidar com a informação que a gente tem capacidade de lidar com dado. Então a ciência da informação iria participar dos processos de coleta, curadoria, processamento, armazenamento, análise e visualização dos dados de modo que a ciência da informação está amplamente inserida no âmbito do quarto paradigma científico tanto em caixões de investigações científicas quanto também da atuação do profissional da informação.

Nessa perspectiva nós buscamos investigar se a realidade da e-Science é abordada nos componentes curriculares dos programas de pós-graduação em ciência da Informação avaliados e reconhecidos pela CAPES. Objetivou também desvendar o ensino da e-Science no âmbito dos programas brasileiros de Pós-graduação em Ciência da Informação avaliados e reconhecidos pela CAPES.

A pesquisa caracteriza-se como pesquisa exploratória e documental com análise quantitativa e qualitativa. Inicialmente nós acessamos a plataforma Sucupira, fomos nos programas indexados na área de avaliação de “comunicação e informação” e posteriormente na área de “ciência da informação” que totalizou em 23 programas. Após a identificação dos 23 programas nós fomos nos sites e portais de cada um deles buscando as disciplinas obrigatórias, optativas que são componentes curriculares de cada um dos programas. Depois dessas visitas percebeu-se que algumas das disciplinas versavam sobre temas que estão ali é circulando que tenha a ver que estão ligados com a e-Science, com o quarto paradigma científico, e que também contabilizamos para o efeito da pesquisa.

Foram contabilizados que dentre os 23 programas de pós-graduação em Ciência da Informação, inicialmente identificados, 11 dispõem os componentes curriculares disciplinas que versam e preparam o seu corpo discente para a realidade do quarto paradigma científico.

Programa de Pós-graduação em Ciência da Informação da UNESP, foi o programa que mais se mostrou adequado a essa realidade oferecendo seis disciplinas do eixo vertente, depois nós tivemos o Programa de Pós-graduação em Ciência da Informação da Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina e o da UFPB que disponibilizam três disciplinas que versam sobre essas vertentes, depois nós tivemos a Universidade de Minas Gerais e a Universidade de Brasília que também têm disciplinas que versam sobre essas vertentes e posteriormente a Universidade de São Paulo, Universidade Estadual de Londrina, Universidade Federal do Pernambuco, Universidade Federal de São Carlos, Universidade Federal Fluminense e a UNIRIO, também disponibilizam disciplinas sobre a vertente que tenha a ver, que estão ligados ao quarto paradigma científico.

Ressalta-se que a UNIRIO recentemente lançou o edital de um mestrado profissionalizante em gestão de dados de pesquisa.

Nós podemos concluir que o PPGCI da UNESP, ele foi identificado como um programa que mais adequa-se a essa realidade e que a UNIRIO abriu seleção para o novo curso de pós-graduação que é a Gestão de Dados de Pesquisa, o que possibilitou observar que os programas estão cada vez mais se atualizando no que concede à oferta de disciplinas e começam a ter iniciativas pioneiras, como este da UNIRIO, na realidade do quadro paradigma científico.
